The Smell of Accomplishment and Cookies

The second half of June was a time full of excitement and adjustments. It was a joy to watch our community enjoying the fruit of our time, money, and labor in this cafe. We have been thrilled to watch our staff enjoying the excitement and unique opportunities they have in Tiny Yeti Baking Co. We frequently hear that this has become like a family to them and that the culture of the cafe is unlike anything they have experienced before.

Exactly what we wanted.

As with any new endeavor, some adjustments are needed to improve processes and systems. We realized that our electrical system was not sufficient for our electrical load and was causing the electricity to turn off frequently. So, we petitioned the government to allow us to upgrade to the highest electrical load possible, which was eventually approved. It was an expensive upgrade but it was a definite requirement that we realized after we began operating.

Overall, our first month has been a success!

The rains are beginning, however. Monsoon has arrived. Stay tuned to see how the Tiny Yeti fairs in the heavy monsoon rains!
