A Professional Touch

Last week’s tragic loss of 50 people in a landslide in central Nepal, is another reminder of how fragile life can be here. For the women and girls of Nepal, even in the cities, people trafficking to India is another big threat. If Black Kite Coffee can help even a few women on the path to ‘life in all its fullness,’ then we will have been a success.

Having signed off on the lease agreement for a small ‘shutter,’ it is now time to plan the layout and design of the Black Kite Coffee micro-bar. Help has arrived in the form of Michael Kramer, an established architect both in America and Nepal, who played a significant role in reconstruction efforts following the 2015 earthquake. Michael and his small team will be providing a layout plan and 3D visualisation in the coming few weeks, over which we can add the final interior designs.

As many of the locals are already doing, watch this space!
